Kaleb Lasseter

Who am I?

My name is Kaleb Lasseter, a college student studying Production at Lee University. I grew up moving from place to place across South Georgia, following the path my family’s ministry set before us. Each move shaped a different part of who I am, giving me a wide range of experiences and perspectives. Now, my family has settled in Charlotte, North Carolina, where my father serves as a pastor, and that sense of both movement and purpose continues to influence my journey.

I developed an interest in photography at a young age and enjoyed taking pictures whenever I had the opportunity. While my early work was far from perfect, the process of capturing images and improving my skills was something I genuinely enjoyed. When I was 12 years old, I competed in a state photography competition and earned second place. Both first and second-place winners advanced to the national competition. Although I did not place at nationals due to my young age and experience level, the opportunity was still incredibly valuable.

The following time I competed, I earned first place at the state level and later placed third internationally for videography. Since then, I have continued to develop my skills by experimenting with different techniques and expanding my knowledge of photography and video production.

I believe perspective is everything. Whether capturing a photograph or creating a design, the ability to see from multiple angles is essential. It’s not just about what’s in front of you, it’s about how you choose to interpret and present it.
One of my greatest strengths is recognizing what often goes unnoticed and bringing it into focus. I strive to make the unseen visible, whether that means highlighting someone’s unique style, discovering details others might overlook, or envisioning the final result long before it comes to life.
My approach is rooted in intention and awareness, understanding that every subject, moment, and concept holds more depth than what appears on the surface. By combining creativity with perspective, I aim to create work that not only looks compelling but also reveals something meaningful and authentic.
